Here is an image of my first completed challenge. I drew my object (a film developer reel) on an angle whilst it was on top of a table.
The criteria for our first challenge was:
- You need to draw your object using 3D observational drawing techniques.
- Your drawing must show: tonal modeling with a consistent light source, tonal contrast, detail and texture.
- You must also show some consideration to the space around the object: ie the table or wall (not in detail though, just shade the negative space).
- You must show a shadow being cast from your object.
